Our adult programming offers women (and men) hands-on, project-based learning experiences that are designed to give beginners the skills and confidence they need to become digital creators.

Our workshops and educational events are open to adults of all ages. Workshops cover everything from introductory HTML & CSS, to WordPress, Python, Ruby, web design and more. They are especially popular and successful because of the 4:1 ratio of students to volunteer instructors at every workshop, which is only possible because of overwhelming support from the technology and startup communities in the cities where we operate.

“I'm an advocate for more girls getting into computer science. Ladies Learning Code is something that really appealed to me because as a non-tech-savvy person myself, I've been able to become a web developer!”

Deb Hazlewood

“To give back to the community that has been good to me.”

“I’ve taught at various levels in the past, and want to give some of my time to help someone learn a new skill or technology they are interested in.”

Monika Bialy
Research Assistant
McMaster Centre for Software Certification

“Working and studying in very male-dominated discipline, I see first-hand how very few women choose to enter this field, both in academia and in industry. As a result, addressing the systemic gender gap in STEM is important to me. It’s awesome that Ladies Learning Code’s mission is just this, so I knew I had to get involved and play a part in advancing this cause.”
