Ladies Learning Code

Have you heard? Ladies Learning Code just signed a lease on a 1100+ square foot space at the Centre for Social Innovation at Bloor & Bathurst (map). But this isn’t an office – we’re creating a 50-person workshop space, a mini-maker studio and a computer lab (we finally have a home for the 12 laptops that were donated to use earlier this year!)

We think this space is going to be a really cool resource for our community – a physical space dedicated to people who want to learn to code, hack and create. If you think so too, we hope you’ll help us raise the funds we need to finish and furnish the space! We’re raising $10,000 through an Indiegogo campaign. ACTIVITIES:
We always have tons of fun (and sometimes unusual) stuff going on at our parties. Here’s what you can expect at our fundraiser:

1. DJS AND A DANCE FLOOR
   Because who doesn’t  like to get down on a Wednesday night?
2. OLD-SCHOOL NINTENDO AND…WAIT FOR IT…A VECTREX
   Nintendo was such a hit at our Launch Party, we just had to bring it back. And this time, thanks to Derek Quenneville, we have a Vectrex to play with, too. Fun!
3. 3D PRINTERS
   Never seen a 3D printer in action? That’s a shame! Come out to our party and you’ll be able to see a bunch of them. You can even purchase 3D-printed goods, and all of the proceeds will go towards Ladies Learning Code’s new space (which will have its own 3D printer!)
4. An EGGBOT
   Haven’t heard of an Eggbot before? Check ‘em out online, and then come to the party to see them for real!
5. PINKY’S NAILS
